STEPS FOR ANALYSIS | MOMENT DISTRIBUTION METHOD | MDM | DISTRIBUTION FACTOR

The moment Distribution Method, developed by Hardy Cross, generally known as MDM is used to analyze Structures (Determinate and indeterminate) like Beams and Frames. As at each joint, which is treated as Fixed, having the different span moments named as Fixed End Moments. MDM works for Distributing these Unbalanced Moments per joint using Distribution Factor (Depend on Cross Section of the Beam and Length of the beam) form individual Stiffness until the Moment at each joint get Equilibrium State.
