Midwives to the rescue of expectant mothers in Trans Nzoia

A majority of expectant women in the country have turned to midwives, after nurses went on strike five months ago. This is because a large percentage cannot afford services from private hospitals, though experts claim that the move is risky, as most of the midwives in the country are not professionally trained.
