Right on my doorstep, the wonderful South Downs are always a source of inspiration. This painting is of a scene at the Seven Sisters Country Park, and I have been inspired to paint it in the style of the great Edward Wesson, Edward Seago and Aubrey Phillips, 3 of my painting heroes.
Materials: Quarter imperial sheet of Millford cold pressed paper, 140lb, Cotman tube paints in indigo, prussian blue, paynes grey, raw sienna and sepia. Various Japanese and Chinese brushes, flats, hake, squirrel mop and rigger brushes.
