SCIENCE reveals a SAFER and LIGHTER all-season MASK!
In this video I will explain the scientific research that allows you to determine the effective filtration rate of any mask and how to increase the effectiveness of your mask. Stay with me to the end and you will have a greater understanding of the science of mask use for yourself and, as this gives us tremendous data for thought, you will be an informed contributor to the world-wide mask conversation. At the end of the video, I will reveal the effectiveness rate of each of these masks (based on less than 300 nm) and show you why these masks differ so widely. We will specifically look at the scientific study and results conducted by six researchers from the Pritzker School of Molecular Engineering, University of Chicago, Chicago, Il, and the Center for Nanoscale Materials and Worker Safety & Health Division of the Argonne National Laboratory, Lemont, Il. I have linked the research article below which was published in the American Chemical Society Nano on April 24, 2020. We will also search for materials that were tested and reveal the filtration efficiency rates for home made masks with these materials. Please visit all the links below (CDC, WHO, etc.) All this data could take mask policy in several directions, but I have practically applied it for overall safety, breathability and comfort for my situational . I look forward to your thoughtful comments!

(June 5, 2020 Interim Guidelines)
The WHO has recently released updated non-medical mask guidance, linked above. On pages 6-11 the WHO recommends a mask with 2 layers of cotton and only layer of polyester, but does not specify / quantify the quality of cotton or poly. They do mention a 70% filtration rate, but do not specify the particle size or flow rate. Therefore, I believe, based on the research reviewed in this video that my single layer stretch chiffon, though only one layer, does average a 70% filtration rate across all tested particle sizes and the standard Olson mask with 2 layers of 80 TPI (with a 38% rating without a filter) with an added outer layer of 90 / 10 stretch chiffon (70% rating) could each satisfy the WHO guidance on this issue.

REMINDER: We found a particular variety of stretch chiffon that was highly rated, which is NOT the usual, sheer chiffon used in evening gowns. Please watch or review the video for details. Please read fiber content before you purchase.

Thank you for your support! You do NOT pay more for these products, but if you click through to Amazon from here, Amazon will share a small percentage of their profits with me.....which is always greatly appreciated! :-)
Sheets: I chose to link these based on the 600 thread count, 100% cotton fiber content, 4+ star rating, color selection and price. Any similar sheet should work. You may want to also consider how wrinkle resistant the sheet is (Who really wants to iron a mask in the morning?).https://amzn.to/2YrL1Dmhttps://amzn.to/30AE7hE
The study tested Wamsutta 600 TPI sheets so I will link this specifically.https://amzn.to/3cXa8TE
