Hi everyone, today I would like to talk to you about something that really matters to me.
I am very passionate about nutrition and fitness in general but even more so about how the body works and how to get in sync with your body.
I think everyone is different and whatever works for one person doesn’t always work for everyone else.
As some people know I struggled for many years to try and fit certain meals or fitness plans into my lifestyle.
I was always trying to find a miracle or magic plan. That only lead to weight gain, belly pain, and anxiety.
I have a degree in nutrition and had a passion for fitness since I was 13 and knew what I had to do but for whatever reason, I was still sabotaging myself.
Even now when I think about it nothing major happened in my life and I had no reason why I was doing that to myself.
But maybe life gave me that, so I could learn how to get out of it.
It motivated me to do all the research I did and allowed me to reconnect with my body and who I was and who I wanted to be.
It was a wrong that turned into a right.
I read a lot of books, but the one that opened my eyes about healthy relationships with food and really touched me was THE BECK DIET solution book,
she is actually a psychiatrist so for me to look at the relationship with food from a psychiatrist point of view made sense.
Since my knowledge in nutrition was amazing already, this book made me look at how thin people or naturally thin people think and how they see life and how they see food. How a thin person is wired differently.
I was always eating on the go and couldn’t cook without picking in my food while making it. I wasn’t able to tolerate hunger.
My cravings were sky high constantly and I was always overeating or undereating and when I was falling off the wagon it was always all or nothing attitude.
If I woke up one morning and seen I gained a few pounds it would ruin my day.
It was impossible for me to eat healthy when I was eating out and that is without counting all the emotional eating.
That whole concept is called cognitive therapy.
It will change your eating behaviors by changing your brain to think like a thin person.
Since doing nutrition coaching one on one I always use those tools and I think 80% of my clients come here knowing what to do but they are just not doing it.
Usually after 3 or 4 sessions when we established a nutrition and fitness plan together and everyone is happy I always end up working with their emotional triggers, what works best and what’s not.
it's time for me to put a program that’s 100% geared towards cognitive therapy program.
This is a 8-week program every week you will have homework to do, homework to send to me with tasks to do every week.
Week 2 and 3 we start creating a nutrition and fitness plan that works for you but it's not the type of program that comes with a strict meal or fitness plan …we work through this process together.
I am offering this program in 2 ways you can do the online one for $250 or one on one for $800 which is a skype weekly meeting. Both are covered by insurance plan under naturopath.
