The cast of Company perform Being Alive at the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard.
A unique take on a Stephen Sondheim classic, this gender-reversed production saw Rosalie Craig play the lead role of Bobbie. Bobbie has just turned 35 and she’s surrounded by her married friends, who always ask her when she’s going to settle down. Featuring iconic songs including The Ladies Who Lunch, Being Alive and Side By Side, Company questions what it means to love, marry and mature.
The show was nominated for nine Olivier Awards in 2019, including; Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Jonathan Bailey and Richard Fleeshman), Best Actress in a Musical (Rosalie Craig), Best Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical (Patti LuPone) and Magic Radio Best Musical Revival.
The Olivier Awards with Mastercard were held in the spectacular Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 7 April 2019. Hosted by Jason Manford, the ceremony celebrates the best of British theatre from the previous year. UK viewers can watch the full show on ITV player. (https://www.itv.com/hub/itv)
