Based? Based on what? That is the question that elevates based above simple internet lingo, and gives it significance. The fact that one can assert that an idea, person, or group is based, and be understood, while also drawing confusion from those unaware is the appeal. This is parodied in the “Uh hello?? But never the less, I shall reveal what it is based on. The key is in the word “Base”, which is defined as the foundation of something, but even more so, base is used as a term of derision, especially the base desires and instincts of man.
